Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Essential Functions:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the HR Coordinator is a coordinator for all important functions such as hiring and recruiting, and development, maintaining employee records, etc. The coordniator will also oversee Wellspring's volunteer program.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Maintains a detailed record of the turnover, and researches and formulates strategies which effectively aid in employee retention.
•Responsible for consulting with managers and supervisors about company policies and procedures, and whenever necessary in helping them.
•Helps employees and their managers in performance and disciplinary matters. He/She may even propose and develop a set of rules that would monitor the discipline and work of workers.
•The job also includes consulting with practice managers regarding employee turnover, absenteeism, changes in work settings, employee motivation and recognition, and other employee-related aspects.
•He/She has to be in regular touch with Team Leaders for any requirements related with projects, and prepare periodical announcements of required positions.
•His/her responsibility also includes assessing, sieving, and interviewing candidates for available positions; and making referrals of well-qualified and skillful applicants to the respective department managers and handling positions for summer students.
•Other tasks assigned to him/her include carrying out field interview campaigns and advertising, arranging for all essentials needed for the recruitment drive, coordinating work with other staff members, determining employee performance appraisals and developing plans and strategies for recruitment.
•A human resources coordinator carries out the duty of conducting employee recognition activities like service honors and 'Employee of the Year' awards.
•If the coordinator has a wide expertise in the human resources field, he/she may allowed to review employment procedures and suggest revisions to heighten the efficiency of the operations in a particular practice.
•Recruit, train and retain volunteers for a robust program.
•Other tasks and projects as assigned.


Qualifications
Requirements to be considered for this position include:

Title: Paraprofessional Educator

Title: Parenting Specialist (CD Technician or Child Care Counselor) Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available

Summary of Duties:

Responsible for the implementation of a therapeutic milieu, group and individual treatment programs, and the daily care and supervision of Residential Services youth. Parenting Specialists are supervised by the Residential Living Director and/or the Associate Residential Living Director. This position also follows instructions from the Clinical Director and other Residential Treatment Specialists or Chemical Dependency Counselors in regards to treatment issues. This position is in the Residential Services section of the organizational chart. Parenting Specialists are evaluated by the Residential Living Director and or the Associate Residential Living Director after the six month probationary period and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities:

- Provides direct supervision and daily care of Residential Services youth.
- Implements the therapeutic milieu and individual treatment plans.
- Provides a clean, safe and therapeutic living environment.
- Provides a therapeutic balance of nurturance and limit setting, demonstrating an understanding of the emotional needs of the adolescent at all times.
- Implements procedures for responsible problem solving/decision making, exploring all possible solutions.
- Forms trusting relationships with the youth by forming a therapeutic alliance and by demonstrating an appropriate role model.
- Provides input into the individual and group treatment plans on an ongoing basis.
- Plans, implements and participates in recreational activities with the adolescents.
- Attends and actively participates in weekly team meetings and group supervision, as well as in-services and psychiatric consultations as scheduled.
- Completes required documentation.
- Completes all paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
- Is punctual for all shifts and meetings.
- Interacts in a positive way with all other staff and is supportive in times of crises.
- Has a good working relationship with parents and other agency representatives.
- Completes a minimum of 50 in-service hours annually as required by state regulations.
- Follows procedures that are in compliance with all South Dakota state regulations or Administrative Rules, as well as Wellspring's Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Manual.

Education and Experience Equivalencies:

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field and some experience with special needs populations, especially the Emotionally, Behaviorally Disturbed and/or Chemically Dependant is preferred. All candidates must have (or qualify to obtain) a current South Dakota driver's license, proof of insurance, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report and be cleared through the Central Registry for Abuse and Neglect and the Division of Criminal Investigation.

Title: Part-time Janitor

The Part-time Janitor will clean both facilities each week. Hours will be daytime only. The Janitor will work with the Maintenance Specialist to identify building needs and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness.

Primary Tasks Include:
~Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
~Gather and empty trash.
~Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
~Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
~Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
~Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
~Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
~Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
~Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water, using commercial cleaning equipment.
Clean chimneys, flues, and connecting pipes, using power and hand tools.
Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clear debris from grounds.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
~Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
~Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
~Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
~Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
~Other duties as assigned.

Title: Part-Time Nurse

WELLSPRING, INC.
NURSE- PART TIME

Summary of Duties:
The nurse is responsible for ensuring that the medical needs of clients are met. The nurse ensures that proper documentation and procedures are completed related to all medical, medication management, infection control issues, on call and other duties as assigned. This position is supervised by the Medical Director and is evaluated after the three month probationary period and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities:
24 hours a week with shared on call responsibilities with the full time nurse.
Duties consisting of the items listed below in conjunction and coordination with the full time nurse.
 Complete medical evaluation of youth admitted into the residential programs within the guidelines set by our licensing and accreditation agencies.
 Maintain communication with Administration when assessing healthcare needs of residents.
 Collaborate with the Medical Director regarding medical and medication orders and referrals needed.
 Conduct sick call services to residential youth.
 Maintain ongoing compliance with all state, federal licensing and accreditation standards.
 Maintain current knowledge with policies and procedures surrounding medical, infection control and quality and safety management as it applies to the services being provided.
 Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records on the youth.
 Assist with appropriate medical and infection control documentation and collect records and data as necessary.
 Communicate with the State Health Department regarding communicable diseases
 Ensure that dental, medical, eye, and psychiatric appointments are set up for youth with necessary follow through.
 Conduct TB screening and testing for all new employees and youth or ensures that proper documentation for TB screening is received.
 Monitor and treat minor medical problems and determine when a physician should be contacted.
 Review all prescriptions when received for accuracy with physician’s order.
 Review residential Medication Administration Records (MAR) weekly to ensure proper documentation.
 Maintain the Medication Administration Records (MAR) and other related documentation for medication management including updating medication changes.
 Contact the referral agency and parents related to medical issues of their child.
 Work in collaboration with full time nurse for staff orientations and in-service training for employees regarding medical and infection control needs.
 Provide in-service for youth regarding health issues and education.
 Work in collaboration with full time nurse regarding Medication Administration Training to all staff who needs to be Med Aid Certified in accordance with SD Administrative Rules and the SD Board of Nursing.
 Maintain medical supplies, UA’s, pregnancy tests.
 Monitor and maintain necessary and appropriate First Aid Kits.
 Work in collaboration with the full time nurse to provide on call services and respond to the facility if needed.
 Interact, communicate and work effectively with fellow staff members and clients.
 Adheres to and is knowledgeable concerning Wellspring’s Workplace Practices, Founding Principles, Mission Statement, Core Values and Vision Statement.
 Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Equivalencies:
Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice in South Dakota. Prior experience preferred with special needs population, especially Emotionally, Behaviorally Disturbed population.
